Our minds don’t allow our bodies to fall asleep until we are at peace. Here follows a sure-fire way to fall sleep. Try it - it works!
Tense your muscles from head to toe. It always works for me, but only if I actually feel like doing it.
Sometimes when you are laying in bed, you are so tired that you definitely don’t feel like tensing your muscles. Just try it. And, yes, you will be lying down in the dark on your bed (couch, sleeping bag, hotel room, whatever)
Start with your toes and feet. Bend them back and forth, stretch them, circle them around. It actually feels good.
Now what you do it slowly work up your body. Next area calves, knees, thighs - entire leg area. Tense them up, bend, stretch, circle them around.
Next, your butt area, then your back, your arms, shoulders. Circle your head, strertch it to the side.
Guess what? Within minutes you will be asleep. In the morning, you may forget what you did to get in this state, but I swear, everytime I do it, I actually do fall asleep.
Do one at a time until you have it down pat. Take a month, whatever. It could be a lifetime thing so you have LOTS OF TIME!!!!
